“We often live our lives in two parts: the person the world sees, and the person we feel like when the lights go down.”
With over two decades of clinical experience, my background is rooted in demanding, high-pressure environments—from the intensity of Olympic-level athletics to the stages of Broadway. These experiences taught me a vital lesson: high achievement doesn't insulate us from struggle; often, it creates a unique kind of pressure to stay silent about it. Whether you are navigating a significant career, a complex family life, or a major life transition, the weight of “having it all together” can lead to profound isolation and burnout.
MY APPROACH: DEPTH FOR THE FUTURE
I provide a discreet, grounded space for individuals and couples who are ready to look beneath the surface. My approach is psychoanalytic and depth-oriented; we don’t just treat symptoms—we look for the "why." By uncovering the internal conflicts and past experiences fueling current anxieties or relationship patterns, we create a foundation for sustainable mastery.
Areas of Focus: STRATEGIC INSIGHT & MASTERY
- High-Pressure Burnout & Sustained Performance: Specialized intervention for high-functioning individuals whose anxiety is tied to the unique weight of leadership, public visibility, or elite-level athletics. We work to sustain the drive for excellence while protecting the person behind the performance.
- Complex Relational Stability (Couples): Intensive work for couples navigating lives of significant responsibility, focusing on the intersection of power, intimacy, and shared longevity. We move beyond surface conflict to build a foundation of authentic, lasting connection.
- Psychosomatic & Depth-Oriented Analysis: Utilizing two decades of clinical experience and psychoanalytic theory to address deep-seated patterns that manifest as physical exhaustion, persistent internal blocks, or the sense of being "stuck" despite external achievements.
- Identity Beyond Achievement: Deep, clarifying work for individuals navigating major life transitions, professional shifts, or the search for authentic meaning when the "old ways" of succeeding no longer feel fulfilling.
CLINICAL LEADERSHIP & EDUCATION
My clinical foundation is built on advanced postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI). As a certified Object Relations Theory teacher, I have led seminars on complex themes including psychosomatic disorders and the clinical significance of dreams. My work is further enriched by membership in the Manhattan Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Group and was recognized with the Jacob Goldfein Award for my research on Body-centered Therapies and Healing Trauma.
This expertise is supported by rigorous academic training across two continents, including a Master’s from the Warsaw Academy of Physical Education (Sports Psychology & Coaching) and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Hunter College in New York.

“I believe that a life of meaning, satisfaction, and contentment is available to everyone.”
I know the power of a strong therapeutic alliance from both sides of the couch, and I understand our universal desire to be fully seen, known, and loved. My style is a blend of acceptance and authenticity; I aim to be kind, direct, and engaging. With unconditional positive regard, I hold a space where clients feel comfortable confiding things they rarely share with others.
MY APPROACH: COMPASSIONATE CURIOSITY
I approach sessions with a curiosity rooted in psychodynamic theory. Together, we look closely at your inner life and relationship patterns, uncovering how past experiences affect who you are today. We work to move away from guilt and shame toward a path of enhanced self-compassion and enduring self-worth.
A MULTIDIMENSIONAL PERSPECTIVE
Before entering the mental health field, I navigated a diverse range of high-level careers—from the pharmaceutical industry to being a published author with houses such as HarperCollins UK, Workman Press, and Clarkson Potter. My background as an actor, stand-up comic, and improv teacher provides me with a unique perspective on the specific challenges faced by artists, writers, and performers.
AREAS OF FOCUS: PERSONAL DISCOVERY & Creative Growth
- Creative & Professional Identity: Providing specialized support for artists and professionals across the career span navigating burnout, blocks, and transitions.
- Relational Healing & Self-Compassion: Helping clients build richer relationships with themselves and others.
- Trauma & Victimology: Offering insight-informed care for those recovering from difficult life experiences.
- Inclusive Identity Support: Gender-affirming therapy and specialized support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
ACADEMIC FOUNDATION
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College and hold an Advanced Certificate in Victimology from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice Master’s of Forensic Mental Health Counseling program.
