THE FIRST STEP (Our Process)

How to Begin Your Work with Us

We have designed a straightforward process to help you transition into care with clarity and ease.

Step 1: Request Your Initial Session

To ensure the best clinical match, we offer two ways to connect:

  • Direct Booking: If you are ready to begin, you may View Our Calendar to request a specific time for your initial intake.
  • Inquiry: If you have questions or specific needs, please complete our Inquiry Form. We typically respond within 24–48 business hours.
Step 2: Insurance & Benefit Verification

We believe in financial transparency. Once your session is requested:

  • We Verify for You: As a courtesy, our practice will verify your insurance benefits to provide you with an estimate of your co-pay or co-insurance before we meet.
  • Self-Verification: We also encourage you to call the number on the back of your card to confirm your "Outpatient Mental Health" benefits. Personally verifying your co-pay and deductible ensures there are no surprises and that you have a full, transparent understanding of your coverage.
  • Private Pay: If you require enhanced discretion, please notify us that you wish to bypass insurance for private-pay care.
Step 3: The Initial Session

Your first appointment is a full-length clinical assessment. This is a dedicated hour to honor your story, identify your primary goals, and ensure that our expertise aligns with your needs. By the end of this meeting, we will discuss a clinical plan and a consistent schedule for our ongoing work.

Step 4: Practice Policies & Consistency
  • Scheduling: We prioritize a consistent weekly or bi-weekly time slot to support sustainable progress.
  • 48-Hour Cancellation Policy: To honor the dedicated time set aside for your care, we require 48 hours' notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to the full session fee.
